A Different Scrapbooking Technique - Mosiacs

As a math teacher, there is one type of scrapbooking that intrigues me... MOSAICS!!  I love the geometry and measurements in it.  Mosaic scrapbooking takes a lot of time.  One page takes at least two hours to layout, but to me it is so worth it.
I love how I can take pictures that we probably would not normally use, like these aerial shots, and use them as accents on the page.

You can also easily incorporate your stamping and journaling into these pages.  This was a double page layout from our spring break trip last year to the Talladega testing day.  Notice the symmetry in the second page, it is so easy to do with this technique.

Wow! This is such a cool technique. I can see how it would take some time to put it all together but it is completely worth it. Fantastic pages! :)

These are all gorgeous layouts. I have always loved that mosaic look and have incorporated it as a window in some of my Christmas cards. I really like it on a scrapbook page, like you say using up some of those background photos that might not get used. I've also seen some that have been done as a black and white photo with an area colour either with markers or printed in colour and the spotlighting technique used. Very pretty especially for weddings or baby displays.

I have never heard of that technique. I can see how it would take time, but the end result makes it look totally worth it! I think it's awesome! TFS. yolanda-tryingtobecreative.blogspot.com
