Stampin' Up!'s Bow Builder Punch Definitely a Favorite
The Retirement List will be released on April 21...that's this Tuesday! We never know what stamps, tools and accessories Stampin' Up! will be retiring each year, but one thing we do know is that one batch of In Colors will be disappearing. This year, we say goodbye to Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush.
I am definitely going to miss the beautiful Coastal Cabana. I have a secret stash built up as I want to keep this color handy for quite some time.
If you are like me and really love any of these colors I'd recommend stocking up on your favorites now, before the list is released. These always sell out quickly, particularly the ink refills and card-stock. They have been known to sell out the first day of the retirement listing. This is a card I have made for the administrative assistants in my office for Assistants Day this Wednesday. I love the color combo of Gumball Green, Melon Mambo, and So Saffron. IT will surely brighten their day and make them feel special. Don't know what I would do without my coworkers. They are a great group!!

April Stampin' Meeting - Two Page Beach Layout and Technique Cards
This month's stampin' meeting will have us looking toward sunny days. This two page layout featuring the up up and away stamp set can be used for many different events including Easter. I actually had pictures from the Hot Air Balloon Festival that matched it perfectly. We will also create two cards that can also be used for multiple occasions. I saw these on Pinterest and said oh my I just have to make these. Guess what now my son will have two treats to take to school this Easter. The original one that I saw had the circle treat cup that Stampin' Up! carries in the design but I had some of the retired heart treat cups that I needed to use up so here is what I came up with.
Aren't these so adorable. All I did was punch two 2 1/2" circles, two large ovals, and then punched out the heart in one circle. Fill with candy, adhere together and FUN! Decorate with a stamp and a little bunny tail and you have a cute treat to brightens someones day this Easter.

I am getting a head start on getting treats ready for my son's third grade class for Easter. One would think that 3rd graders would flip over candy as a gift but no. These kids love pencils!! So I am always on the lookout for cool pencils that my son can give as gifts for holidays to his class. And to package pencils Stampin' Up! has the perfect cello bag that will fit two pencils. To decorate I must say I have a new favorite. I love the two new tag topper punches that are in the spring catalog. Here is how I threw together a quick and cute little treat for the kiddos at school.
I found cute little pencils with owls and hearts for the girls and robots for the boys. I lest some space on the tag for my son to write a note on there for his classmates. The kids will be so excited.

In getting ready for Easter, we will be making this two page layout at our next Scrappin' Meeting. These pages make use of some great spring colors in the Stampin' Up! subtles color collection.
I am definitely trying to get in the Spring spirit. We warmed up here in Alabama for a few days but we are getting set for yet another cool down. So I figure if mother nature won't help me out, Stampin' Up! will!! So I pulled out my Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' kit that I have been holding on to for a while and decided to get some spring cards made. I threw in a few sheets of Whisper White and some stamp sets that I already had and here is what I was able to create. To top it off I even had some DSP left when I finished these 10 cards. That means more can be made later :)
