Make a Bag with no Cuts

I came across these cute little bags that you can make from and 8.5" x 11" sheet of cardstock with absolutely no cutting, well at least until you start to decorate it.  I thought that they were so cute that I had to put together a tutorial and share with you how to create them.

Step 1:

Start with an 8.5" x 11" piece of cardstock on the long side and score at 3/4" , 4 1/2", 6 1/2" and 10 1/4".

Step 2:

Turn your cardstock to the short side and score at 2" and 6 1/2".

Step 3:

Using your diagonal scoring plate, you will need to make diagonal score marks that emanate from the intersection of the center score lines back to the edge of the paper.  You will have to rotate the diagonal score plate to get the score line in the correct slanted direction as you score these lines at 8 1/2" and 2 1/2".

 Step 4:

Fold along the score line made on the short side at 2" and 6 1/2"

Step 5:

Fold the diagonal score marks as shown below.

Step 6:

Apply adhesive as shown in the picture.  I used sticky strip for a strong hold.

Step 7:

Adhere the two sides along the original two folds at 2" and 6 1/2".

Step 8:

Add handles and decorate as you prefer.
