April's Stampin' Meeting

It's is officially spring (yet on some days it already fells like summer).  So let the colors explode. For our next gathering we will be using that adorable Play Date Designer Paper that was on the clearance rack for a while.  It is full of rich spring and summer colors.  We will be completing a two page scrapbook layout, a single page scrapbook layout, and two full cards.

Natural 12X12 Linen Post Album - by Stampin' Up!

Linen Albums

12" x 12"
8" x 8" Available in a variety of sizes and colors
Dirt- and water-resistant coating applied to fabric

FYI For best long-term care of your ring albums, always open them by pulling on the middle rings and close by pressing on the top and bottom rings simultaneously.
A stain-resistant finish is applied to linen albums to help repel dirt. If you need to clean the album, use a clean, white cotton cloth and warm water. Do not use a cleanser. Gently brush in all directions. Scrubbing vigorously or back and forth over a small area will wear the fabric.
Even with a stain-resistant finish, linen albums can become stained. We do not recommend using them in conditions where they might become dirty, such as recipe books or school binders.

I have been liebstered!!!!
And you are all thinking what???

I have been soooo busy with school, that I have sadly neglected my blog.  So when I stopped by to add a few pictures of some scrapbooking pages I have managed to get done, and I saw this award from Yolanda.   What a wonderful surprise!   Now if your wondering what this award is for like I was, here's the details:

This award is for bloggers with less than 200 followers, to bring attention to your blog, and increase your following!  So, in the spirit of good fun I am passing this award on to five of my followers.  Please stop by to visit them, and become a Follower.

Here are the Rules of the Liebster Award:
1.  Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them. (Thank you Yolanda!)
2.  Reveal your five picks for the award and let them know.
3.  Post the award on your blog.
4.  Bask in the love from the supportive people out there in Blog Land!
5.  Finally and the best rule of all ........... have fun and spread the love!

The five blogs that I have chosen are listed below.  Click on over to their beautiful sites, look around and don't forget to become a Follower.  It was really tough limiting this to just five, there are so many amazing blogs out there.
Now please stop by these very talented ladies blogs and tell them that I sent you. And as always thanks for stopping by!

2-Way Glue Pen (100425)

2-Way Glue Pen - by Stampin' Up!
Features & Benefits Permanent or temporary bond
Dries quickly
Great for adhering glitter
Blue when wet; clear when dry

Quick Trick Need a temporary bond for a stencil or mask? Or do you need a permanent bond for a card or page? Look no further than the 2-Way Glue Pen.
1. Wet bond (permanent bond): While the glue is still blue and wet, immediately make the bond. Use a wet bond when you apply glitter.

Treat Tubes for St. Patrick's Day School Treats

I have spent the last two days putting together the cutest little treat tubes for my son's first grade class.  He wanted to take his class some treats for St. Patrick's Day and I thought a few goodies in these little tubes would be perfect.  However, it took a little time to put 20 of these together.  He loved them and cannot wait to share them with his friends tomorrow.

Here is how to make them if you are interested.
Materials:  2 different colors of card stock (one piece for the tube 3" x 5.5")(one pieces for the bases 5" x 3"), Ribbon, Window Sheet, Fancy Flower Punch, Simply Scored, Crop-a-dile, Sticky Strip
Instructions:
1.  Score the "tube" color card stock every 7/8" (along the 5.5" side).  Punch window on one side of the card stock and cover with window sheet.  Assemble the tube using sticky strip.
2.  Punch two flowers from the "base" color paper using the Fancy Flower punch.  Score each petal.
3.  Adhere one flower by its petals to one end of the tube.  Fill with treats and then adhere the second flower to the other end of the tube.
4.  Tie ribbon around the tube and make a tag using any type of punch (use the crop-a-dile punch a hole in the tag) and tie on with the ribbon.

They are super easy to make and are as cute as can be.  Happy treat making!

March Scrappin' Layouts

Wow I know it seems that I have dropped off the face of the Earth with my posts, but this has been a very hectic month for me.  I am finishing up a second degree at the university and I am in the month that I have to take my comprehensive exams from my last three years of classes.  This is had to become my top priority and I have had to place everything else on hold momentarily.  But now it is almost all over, and I can get back to my normal routine.  With that being said, I had just finished the layouts that we will be completing this Friday March 17, for our monthly scrappin' meeting.  It is time to get ready for Easter.  So I have pulled together 4 Easter pages that you could use as single layouts or put them together to make double layouts, depending on how many Easter events you have to attend this year.  If you are like us there are so many wonderful community events for the children during Easter.  We are so lucky.  I can't wait to see everyone Friday.
