Sneak Peak Card Swap

Our Sea-to-Sea Stampers group recently held a swap of cards that feature items from Stampin' Up!'s new 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog.  We are 4 days from its release, and I thought I would give you a sneak peek at the great creations you will be able to design with the new tools, stamps, and colors.  Enjoy!

I created this card for the swap.  Can you tell we are getting a new punch!!

Two Page Summer Scrapbook Layout

Ladies, here is the second layout that we will be making Friday at our scrapping event.  I thought we needed a refreshing summer page, and as a bonus it is a two page layout.  So gather your pictures and bring them Friday night.  I decided to place some good old Memorial Day pool pictures from 1997 when my daughter was 3 months old on my pages.

Beach Scrapbook Page

Here is a fun little one page beach layout, using more subtle colors but still with a splash of brights.  We will be creating this page on June 24 at our next Friday Night Scrap along with another layout that I will post later.  We had so much fun last night scrapping away with friends that we decided to do it again in two weeks.

Stamps: Just Surfing, Tropical Party
Cardstock:  Barely Banana (retired and needs to be used up :) ), Whisper White (what appears to be designer paper on the right is actually whisper white that I hand dotted with an old olive marker), Old Olive, So Saffron
Ink:  Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red, So Saffron, Old Olive
Accessories:  Old Olive Ribbon, Die Cut Letters, Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker

Elegant Thank You Card

We have had a tremendous outpouring of support from our family and friends during the past two weeks as a family member of ours has been placed in ICU.  To show our appreciation for the visits, prayers, and gifts of kindness that the family has received, I have made these thank you cards for the family to send out to all of those who have been here to support us during this time.  It has been a very rough time for all of us and it seems that it will be a long while before it is over.  We appreciate everyone's love and support.

Stamps:  Elegant Thank You, Merci
Cardstock:  Elegant Eggplant (even though the picture makes it look blue it is a deep purple), Whisper White
Ink:  Versamark
Accessories:  Silver Embossing Powder, Ribbon, Scallop Edge Border Punch

Wedding Shower Card

I have a wedding shower to go to this afternoon, and I though I would share the cute little card I made to go with the couple's gift.  The couple is so adorable together that they deserved me pulling every tool I had on this one.  I chose to go with the classic girly pink color and used the shimmer spritz to dress up the background layer.  A few punches, dies, ribbon, embossing folders and embossing powers later... voila!

Patriotic Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Memorial Day has had me in the patriotic spirit all week.  I came across these pictures taken last summer of my son enjoying some nice cold watermelon and the colors in the pictures lent themselves to this fabulous two page layout.  This could also work for your Memorial Day or Fourth of July pictures as well.

The colors Whisper White, Real Red and Night of Navy were perfect Stampin' Up! colors for these pages.  The scallop edge border punch and the Circle and Scallop Circle Punches helped to accent the page without overpowering the page.  The Stars dies for the Big Shot  and a pair of scissors helped with the star embellishments.

Halloween Scrapbook Layout

Again I am trying to catch up on some pages in my scrapbook.  Now that school is out, I might get a good bit of the books done.  I decided to play with my die cutter and make a Halloween layout with my son's pictures from 2009.

I couldn't resist the pun on the witch with "Witch way is the candy?".  I also loved the picture of my son in the red chair.  I had to use it because it kind of gave the effect of having extra legs like a spider, and since he was spiderman, I though it was fitting.
